NJ towns that sued state agree to affordable housing quotas after multiple court losses

Local New Jersey officials, after failing to halt the state's affordable housing plan, are now committing to building low-priced homes in their towns. Twenty-seven municipalities have twice failed to secure a stay against the law, leading 13 towns to pass resolutions to meet state quotas. Parsippany-Troy Hills officials, while agreeing to a reduced obligation of 496 units, maintain their commitment to the ongoing lawsuit against the law. A panel will review requests to lower obligations by March 31, while the legal battle continues in court.
